Mari Thomeczek is one of our Patient Care Coordinators. She currently assists with program development in the Center for Overcoming Problem Eating (COPE) and is particularly involved with the Building healthy Eating and Self-Esteem Together for University Students (BEST-U) treatment protocol. Mari is passionate about eating disorder treatment and is happy to be a part of the CARE lab team. Mari is a student in the Counseling Psychology master’s program at the University of Kansas. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2018 from Hendrix College, a school in Arkansas. Mari is currently completing her practicum at the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault in Kansas City, Missouri. She has a special clinical interest in working with individuals who struggle with eating disorders as well as individuals who have experienced sexual trauma. In her free time, Mari enjoys spending time outdoors and visiting her family in St. Louis.
